Freedom
Freedom Eyewear
– Born in Italy, Designed for Freedom
The Freedom eyewear brand, featuring both sunglasses and optical frames, was founded in Italy in the 1990s. It all began when David Lazar, owner of Top Optic Ltd., together with his sons Adir, Oren, and Aviv, importers of the brand to Israel, began designing and producing unique frames in a small workshop in the picturesque village of Calcio di Cadore, nestled in the mountains of northern Italy. This idyllic village was home to skilled local craftsmen, devoted to creating eyewear with care and passion.
As demand grew, the modest workshop could no longer keep up with production. This led to the establishment of a larger, more advanced manufacturing facility and the birth of the name Freedom – symbolizing a leap toward creative, technological, and design freedom.
Since then, Top Optic has remained committed to innovation, continuously designing and marketing fresh, trend-forward collections tailored to global fashion and market demands. The brand caters to a wide age range, from 20 and up, with dedicated lines for various lifestyle segments.
Uncompromising Italian Quality:
- Most sunglass models are made from high-quality Italian acetate, equipped with polarized lenses for maximum sun protection.
- Optical and fashion frames are crafted from a mix of lightweight plastic and metal, offering maximum comfort with both classic and casual styles.
Owned and operated by the Lazar family, Top Optic invests heavily in promoting the brand through digital media, influencer marketing, and content creation. The results speak for themselves: Freedom is now sold in dozens of select optical stores across Israel, most notably in the Optica Belissima chain.
